About Us

Who we are

We are a parish of the Anglican Catholic Church, a worldwide fellowship of believers who continue in the historic Anglican tradition. By “continuing,” we mean we remain steadfast in the faith once delivered to the saints.

We are orthodox Christians who believe that the truth of God’s Word never changes. While the world’s customs and opinions shift, the Church’s foundation is secure. As our Lord reminds us, we are called to live in the world but not be conformed to it.

A simple way to describe us is:
“An unchanging Church in an ever-changing world.”

As a traditional parish, our worship is anchored in beauty, reverence, and order. We use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, the King James Version of the Bible, and the 1940 Hymnal. This means that wherever you attend an Anglican Catholic Church  here in Marietta or anywhere in the world  you’ll experience a service that is reverent, biblical, and deeply moving.

Our History

The Church of Our Redeemer was founded to provide a faithful Anglican witness in the Marietta area, one firmly rooted in the historic teachings of the Church and the timeless beauty of traditional worship. From the beginning, our mission has been to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, preserve the faith once delivered to the saints, and offer a welcoming place for all who seek God’s truth.

As a parish of the Anglican Catholic Church, we stand in the continuing Anglican tradition, using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, the King James Bible, and the 1940 Hymnal in our services. These treasured forms of worship connect us to centuries of Christian devotion while offering reverence and beauty that speak to hearts today.

Over the years, our parish has grown into a vibrant, prayerful community. We are blessed with members of all ages who serve together, worship together, and share life as the body of Christ. As we look to the future, we remain committed to being an unchanging church in an ever-changing world,  steadfast in faith, rich in fellowship, and alive with the love of the Lord.

We believe the Holy Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, the foundation for our faith, and the ultimate guide for Christian living.

Prayer

Prayer is at the heart of our life together, drawing us into deeper communion with God and shaping our hearts to reflect His will.

Sacred music lifts our worship, uniting voices and hearts in praise, and reflecting the beauty of God’s truth through timeless hymns and melodies.
